Educational Building – New Engineering Workshop at Central Sussex College in Crawley
The photographs above were produced for the contractor, whose scope was to extend and refurbish an existing educational building. The facade with the chameleon panels is the new part of the building. The new construction contrasts with the bare concrete brutalist architecture of the rest of the college. The photographs were produced during the Easter recess. The contractor was clearing his punch list and college moving in furniture at the time, there were no students present.
The photography was done on a typical April day, with sunny spells and showers. To make the most of the time, I shot interiors during the showers and dropped everything to run outside when the sun shone.
